A poem by Aaromal P Ajith, Son of Prathibha V, Roll no 2889 and Ajith P Anand, Roll no 2787

With the shimmering star on his heart he realizes,
That life and death isn't just a game.
With hardened mind, he walks in valiant grace,
Knowing the debt he must fulfill.

The three colours of their mother soaring high,
Imprinting an emotion to these worthy souls.
Defiant to foe, amiable to allies,
Shaping a world for the alluring freedom.

Captain Harshan treads on the trail,
Savouring the moments of his moulding soul.
With unwavering spirit of nation held tight,
He walks through a phase where memories are life.

Living through a time where even silence speaks,
Sacrificing his life and a soulmate he never met.
Flying off to a land, away from his life-givers,
Empowered by no sword, but living words.

Acknowledging a life, refrained by some,
Uncovering the rival's vicious deeds,
He soared in his life through his conduct.
In military, a man whom even time admires.

His tale succumbs in Baramulla;
The eminent martyr who awakened history.
His last mission, where he eliminated two,
Changed the fate of this young soul.

Never accepted death, even when shot twice.
Off a grenade rose from his cold hands,
Marking its trail like a rainbow, black and white.
It marks the end of the heroic warrior.

His life, plain to others,
Filled with points that ought to be noted.
A loss, irreparable to our nation,
But leaving an energy radiating through future.

Acknowledging his feat, came nation's reply:
'Ashoka Chakra' will adorn his soul.
Accepting the recognition for his son's valour,
His teardrop gleamed in the 'Ashoka Chakra'.

A glittering image in the face of history.
A shimmering life that the nation received.
A boon that withered just before blooming.
Bravery, thy name is Harshan!

You'll be asked for your name and roll number once.
